Statement of intent

In this statement of intent, I will be talking about how sports channels link into four areas of theoretical framework.

I will make sure my advert doesn’t contravene any of the rules that are set out by the ASA, some rules like the ad should comply with the law and not incite anybody to break it is simple to follow, especially considering that the ad is for a sports channel. Ill doing this by making sure my advert has nothing in the pictures that are against the law, and that there are no mistakes in the text that could possibly be interpreted the wrong way.

The finished advert will also represent the target audience and the company in a positive light. It will be orientated around togetherness and sports, where everyone is happy and getting along well, shining a good light on the target audience and possibly going against some of the negative stereotypes that come around sports fans and people themselves.

The advert itself will be able to attract the target audience easily as it will have solid colours but also colours that catch the eye of anyone, not just the primary audience. Catchy taglines and fonts that are easy to read will help the audience remember what the name of the sports channel and cause them to look it up when they get the chance to. All things to help the billboard catch the eye of the primary audience, which is people aged between 16 and 25 will be considered carefully so the billboard can do the best job and attract as much people as possible.
